Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Alberta Vacuum Experts website, purchases made online or in-store, and any repair, installation, pickup/drop-off, or related services we provide (together, the “Services”). By placing an order, booking a service, or using our site, you agree to these Terms.
“Alberta Vacuum Experts,” “AVE,” “we,” “us,” or “our” means Alberta Vacuum Experts and its personnel. “You” means the customer using our site or Services.
We may update these Terms from time to time; the Effective date above will change when we do.
1) Orders, Pricing & Payment
- Availability & acceptance. All orders are subject to availability and our acceptance. We may limit quantities or cancel orders at our discretion (e.g., suspected fraud, pricing error).
- Pricing & errors. We try to be accurate, but errors may occur. If a price/error is discovered after you order, we’ll contact you to confirm at the corrected price or cancel with a full refund.
- Taxes. Applicable taxes are added at checkout or on your invoice based on ship-to or pick-up location.
- Payment methods. We accept common credit/debit cards and other methods shown at checkout. For in-store repairs, deposits may be required for parts or special orders.
2) Shipping, Risk of Loss & Delivery
- Processing times & carriers. See our Shipping & Delivery page for current cut-offs, carriers, and transit estimates for Canada and the USA. Tracking is emailed when your order ships.
- Risk of loss / title. Title and risk of loss pass to you when the shipment is transferred to the carrier. Signature may be required for high-value orders.
- Split shipments & backorders. We may ship items separately at no extra charge and will provide separate tracking numbers.
- Duties & import fees (U.S.). The recipient is responsible for any duties, taxes, or import fees.
3) Returns & Exchanges (Retail)
- Standard window. Unused retail merchandise in original packaging may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase/delivery with proof of purchase.
- Condition. Items must be clean, complete (all parts, manuals, packaging), and in re-sellable condition. A restocking fee may apply to opened/non-defective items.
- How to start. Contact us to obtain a Return Authorization (RA). Once inspected, refunds are issued to the original payment method (shipping fees are non-refundable unless we made an error).
- Non-returnable items (for safety/fitment):
- Installed/used electrical parts, control boards/PCBs, lithium batteries, chargers
- Cut length goods (e.g., 2″ central-vac pipe, wire)
- Opened filters/bags and hygiene items
- Special-order parts and items marked Final Sale
Products exposed to hazardous materials/liquids/drywall dust
Return and warranty specifics for certain brands may vary by manufacturer policy.
4) Repairs, Diagnostics & Installations
- Diagnostics & estimates. In-store diagnostics are free. We’ll provide a written estimate before proceeding. If new issues are discovered during repair, we’ll request approval for any revised amount.
- Approvals & parts. Your approval authorizes us to perform work and order/install parts. Special-order parts are non-cancelable and non-returnable once ordered.
- Turnaround. Typical repairs complete in 1–2 business days once parts are available; timelines can vary by model/part supply

Workmanship warranty. Repairs include a
limited workmanship warranty (typically 30–90 days, depending on service/part). This covers the specific repair performed; it does not cover misuse, new/unrelated faults, or normal wear. - Exclusions. Warranty does not cover damage from misuse, liquid ingress, drywall/cement dust, non-approved filters/bags, or third-party tampering.
- Unclaimed items. We will contact you when an item is ready. Items left over 30 days may incur storage fees; over 60 days may be considered abandoned and recycled, sold, or disposed to recover costs. We may assert a repairer’s lien permitted by law.
- Installations (central vacuum). Installation warranties apply to workmanship only; manufacturer warranties apply to equipment/components. We are an independent repair/installation shop and are not affiliated with Dyson® or other third-party trademarks unless expressly stated.
5) Commercial & Fleet Accounts
- Credit terms. Upon approval, commercial customers may receive net-30 terms. Late balances may accrue interest (up to the maximum permitted by law) and collection costs.
- Service plans. Fleet plans may include scheduled maintenance, unit tagging, reports, and volume discounts as described in your plan confirmation.
- Pickup/drop-off. Where offered, chain-of-custody applies from pickup to return; visible damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
6) Manufacturer Warranties
- Pass-through coverage. Many products/parts carry a manufacturer warranty. We’ll assist with documentation and reasonable support; decisions are made by the manufacturer under their policy.
- Improper use voids coverage. Misuse, water damage, non-approved filters/bags, and operation outside instructions may void coverage.
7) Promotions, Coupons & Gift Cards
- Promotions and coupons are time-limited and may not be combined unless stated. Gift cards are non-refundable and not redeemable for cash except as required by law.

- Cap on damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid to AVE for the product or service at issue.
